Mindset Matters

"Mindset matters more than your mechanics." I believe that wholeheartedly. You can have all the coolest tech, best vehicles, and fanciest AI at your disposal, which may net you a really successful business. However, most of this success can basically be attributed to your client not knowing you're industry and therefore being easily impressed by that which they don't understand.

If you don't have an approach that seeks to truly understand and address a clients needs and how your talent, tools, and time fullfil those needs, you have a merely transactional relationship that is only as good as your competitor's pricing.

It's like the "car guy" at work who drives a nicer sports car and insists on regurgitating all the specs of the latest model exotic to you in the break room. However, ask "car guy" which tires you should put on your wife's car and he's clueless. You see "car guy" is all about the toys and the appearance instead of the how and the why.

PRO TIP: Don't be the "car guy" in your industry.

They saying goes, "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." I say, "Make your business more about people than profit and you'll never work a day in your life."
